Facing Maat again as Paladin

Written by Ineyeri

As you know I have been working as Paladin as of late with the hopes to get more party invites and to be able to do more stuff with my friends, but sadly that did not worked out very well as Uwaine started to work on the same job and well… it pains me to say they prefer him over me.

But that has not stopped me from trying to reach level 75, so I managed to get some good parties and the people with whom I worked with were satisfied with my performance. I was also asked to be the tank for several missions which were successful so obviously I am not a bad Paladin.

Once I was able to wear my full AF gear I wanted to get another piece of equipment: Hercules’ ring. So I did a bit of research and find out which mob needed to be killed.

Oceanblue and I went to Lufaise Meadows to hunt down a Megalobugard. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait that long but we were not able to get the ring that I wanted, instead we got a Megalobugard Tusk which sold pretty good in the Action House, so Ocean and I were happy to get some gil from this.

I could now afford a ring but I really didn’t had to buy it cause someone send one to my mog house along with a nice shield.

So yeah I was making good progress on gearing myself pretty good and started to think about taking Maat test as a Paladin. I had already faced the old man as Black Mage but I thought it would be different facing him on a melee style.

I put aside the thought of facing Maat cause I wasn’t so sure I wanted to fight him again now so I kept doing campaign with Oceanblue and having fun skilling up in The Boyahda Tree.

As soon as I was level 68, the idea of facing Maat was again in my head and one day I just took my gear, the little medicines I had and the testimony and just made my way to the battlecamp.

I was nervous and upon entering I quickly used my Opo-opo Necklace and drank a bottle of Mary’s milk to gain some TP. What I didn’t knew was that I would not be able to get 100 TP, I just got half and had no more sleeping potions.

I was also wearing my blink band but forgot to activate it. So I just cast Protect and Shell III, used a yagudo drink and went to face Maat.

I’ll let the screen shot I took speak for itself.

My lovely Hurricane Breeze

Written by Ineyeri

Like all mornings, today I started doing my usual chores: check the plants, check my sales in the Action House and then head out to Windy to visit my chocobo Hurricane Breeze. I stopped by some vendors cause I always bring him some food and take him out for a ride.

So before giving my choco his food I talked to the trainer to see if there were some news and was immediately shocked by what he told me:

“It’s time to send Hurricane Breeze to a farm.”
I was like… WHAT??!! NOOOO!!! WHY??!!

I could not argue with the trainer because he kept babbling about things like it’s time, he will be fine, you will be able to call him anytime, etc, etc. And then my lovely chocobo was gone.

I still remember when Hurricane Breeze hatched from it’s egg, he was adorable and made cute little noises: kewh! kewh!

I was really very happy and when my choco chick was born and happy as well that Oceanblue had convinced me to raise a choco.

Every single day I would made sure he was fed and would take him out on walks as I wanted him to grow strong. He never misbehaved and just couple of times he got sick.

Yet I could not understand why my chocobo was sent to a farm so I contacted Ocean and he explained to me that he had grown old…

I am a bit said that I cannot visit Hurricane Breeze anymore in the stables and that I will not be able to care for him like I used to. I could start raising a new choco but no one will replace him. <3

It has been a while since my last entry on the blog cause I have been working on many projects at once and really don’t have a quiet moment to sit down in my mog house and write about it until now. Well, as some of you may know my moogle packed all the junk I had in Windy and we moved to a new place in San d’Oria.
It was a nice surprise that all my stuff fit quite well there… but I was not very happy so I had to rearrange the furniture around several times; yeah, my moogle was not very happy either cause he did all
I also went about to buy new and nicer stuff and make some more room in my storage. Certainly that didn’t lasted too long… I’m a pack rat so I don’t have much space as of late.
Anyway, with the moving out of the way, I was immediately tasked to do some missions for my new home nation. I did couple of them on my own and Oceanblue helped me with the big fights. I still need to face an undead in the icelands but I can’t do it on my own, will need some help for it.
Here in San d’Oria I have also started to work on the Ninja job, aside from Paladin. There were several reasons behind this: Ocean and I have been doing an ENM fight in which things could go faster and smoother if we both sub ninja. Granted I died once when I was subbing White Mage, but with Ninja the fight speeds up. Besides we want to try new things and having this sub is useful for that.
Therefore, for couple of weeks I concentrated on getting ninja to 37 and honestly I haven’t figured out why Ocean likes the job so much. He looks great with his new gear and is really awesome to watch him when he is soloing stuff. Also found out he holds hate better than I do as a Paladin when we were skilling up in Ro’Maeve.
But for me it was painful to take Ninja all the way to level 38… and definitely its going to stay there. So for now I like Ninja only when Ocean is working on that job…. I’ll stick with Paladin.
Other project that kept me busy are my crafts… My Clothcraft has been abandoned for quite a while, not for lack of interest but because the materials of the new recipes I need to work on are very expensive. So to be able to craft nice stuff I had put some gil aside in the piggy bank and at the same time tried out Cooking with Ocean.
It’s been fun and at some point profitable, so I’m happy that I can put some gil aside for those materials that I need for Clothcraft.
There are other projects I have been working on that will discuss at a later time with more details, for now my attention is on the facelift on this blog. It needed a change… not sure I’m happy with it iyet, probably will make more changes to it in the coming days, but like Ocean said to me the other day: “No more red”.
:D
